Carousel Slideshow: XML driven flash based slide show

Carousel Slide show is another cool xml driven flash slide show. Its images, description and links, font colors, font sizes, background colors can be controlled from XML. The beauty of this slide show is, it works with keyboard shortcuts. Use next and previous arrows from your keyboard to navigate between the images.

In this slide show the image reflection can be enabled or disabled through XML. Also if you just want a shadow, you can show shadow instead of reflection. The auto timer can be set to start or stop through XML. Also it is possible to set the auto timer time in the XML. The swf is lightweight.

The navigation buttons can be hidden through XML if you do not want them in the flash. It is also possible to customize the navigation dots colors through XML. Also it is possible to customize the image description font color and size through XML. The description background color can be also set through XML. If you do not want to display the description, just leave the description tag blank.

In this flash carousel slide show The description can be set on top or bottom of the image. Also the description background color alpha can be changeable through XML. Also the navigation buttons alpha can be set in XML.

In this Carousel slideshow, there are two types of transition effects. One is "Ease Out" another one is "Ease out bounce". You can set any effect that you like. Also the image border color can be set through XML in this flash based carousel.

Download the trial version using above link and extract them. Copy the below code and paste it into the html file where you would like to use this flash gallery. Open carousel_slideshow.xml file and add image sources and change customize the colors as per your requirement and save it. If you want to change width and height of this gallery, please change 700 and 690 in the below code.

  1. Download Image Carousel Slideshow
  2. Copy folders "images" and "js" in to your website directory
  3. Copy files "carousel_slideshow.xml" and "carousel_slideshow.swf" in to your website directory
  4. Open carousel_slideshow.html and copy code and paste it where you want to display slideshow.
  5. Please make sure "js","images" and "carousel_slideshow.swf" paths should be valid.

Customization Instructions

  1. All Slideshow functionality options are available in "carousel_slideshow.xml", using this file you can customize slideshow like adding new images,slideshow transition time etc...
  2. Slideshow Width : "width" parameter value in carousel_slideshow.html file.
  3. Slideshow Height: "height" parameter value in carousel_slideshow.html file.
  4. Slideshow Background Colr: "bgcolor" parameter value in carousel_slideshow.html file.
  5. Wmode: "wmode" parameter value in carousel_slideshow.html file.
